profoundly calm,

earthshaking appearance

of the invisible

as it comes

to one girl

in one place,

Nazareth.

Just so the wonder begins.

No, continues.

Already

a woman repeatedly disappointed, dry

and infertile

is pregnant

with leaping prophetic life.

And now! Now

eternity proposes

to time.

Both realms hold their breath

because the girl may say no

or she may say yes.
